A Great Compact Show for 2026

Gorgeous day and perfect climate for the show. I took my time on Day 1 of the Preview Wednesday Feb 11. I visited the yacht show on Collins Ave along the canal in front of Eden Rock and the Fontainebleau Resorts. As a local I knew where to park where I was 2 shuttle stops from the Event. The selection of top producers is certainly complete. What there was little of was vintage vessels for resale. If you are looking for that this may not be the best show. Unlike Palm Beach where it is fairly exhaustive, as I have seen in previous years. I have a client I am looking to broker a later model yacht in the area of a Sunseeker or Azimut in the 70' range. He would benefit from being able to walk a lot of yachts and see the difference between manufacturers and layouts. Then we could apply the learnings to our process and get the right vessel for his needs. After walking the Yacht Show I boarded the Miami Trolley, which is free ride just like the MIBS Shuttle but likely more frequent (Pro Tip... Use it!!). I took this to SOBE and got off at Collins Park which is home of the Base Museum. I enjoyed a 5 minute walk over to the Miami Beach Conventions Center to gain access to the tailorable boats display which was a great learning on comparisons for my listing of the 2006 Boston Whaler Outrage 320 which I have listed for 1/5 of the price of a new one. Now they make the 330 which is $.5 Mil. Prices are wild for new boats and I don't think depreciation has slowed at all. That's my elevator pitch. See the link for my listing in my web site.
